March 18th Dead Celebrities and a Grand Slam

This week I joined up with a bunch of seasoned fellow pro's to record the sound-track for MR LONDON - a puppet-animation movie being put together by two ultra-clever Radagrads, VISSEY SAVAFI and ANDY BONE. The plot revolves around a "reality" TV show in which the contestants are all famous but dead Londoners - Charlie Chaplin, Bobby Moore, Sid Vicious, Noel Coward, etc etc…and guess who's playing Geoffrey Chaucer….Well who else would you cast as a 668 year-old poet…?

On Friday TYA mentor Lois Baxter took a break from the hectic round of RADA auditions - for which she is long-serving panel member - to record some brilliant acting exercises for the www.teachyourselfacting.com six-part Foundation Course, which is at last almost ready to launch. Expect an announcement very shortly. 

Meanwhile, I've only just got over yesterday's excitement  - it must have been fantastic to watch the Grand Slam triumph with the crowd in Cardiff at the Millenium Stadium, not that far away from the primary school I attended approximately six hundred years ago…I had to make do with the TV coverage, and instead of celebrating with Brain's famous Cardiff ales (which are inexplicably unavailable in London E17) I raised a toast at the Walthamstow Village pub with a pint of Fosters, known of course to you Welsh-speakers as y neithdar ambr…
